The 9th Partner Power World Conference took place in Genoa, Italy April 21st 2009. Many partners, customers and other external guests prioritized our yearly event. But a high number of participants are not enough to make a successful event. This year in particular, the enthusiasm and active participation of all participants in the event was outstanding. Questions, comments and input coming from both customers and partners contributed to the agenda and made every session even more interesting. The relevance of each topic covered (all interesting, well targeted, introduced and timed), was undoubtedly the key to a successful event.
Poul Kjaer (CEO) opened the conference by introducing our new positioning strategy and theme for the day - Creating value through committed partnership. He explained why and how Partner Power can help international organizations go through the difficult economic times. Our very own PPI experts Henning Lund (VP), Stig Seiling Christensen and Stig Aastrup supplemented this with concrete examples of how Partner Power helps international organizations to improve control, increase efficiency and boost collaboration across multiple sites and cultures. Fully aligned with this, Stig Seiling facilitated a Partner Power customer session with Marion Thrum (ThyssenKrupp Accessibility) and Giovanni Landi (Berco), who emphasized that working with Partner Power has been the key to the success of their international roll-outs. Microsoft, represented in turns by Wim Jansen and Jan Sillemann, introduced a new dimension to the discussions. Wim Jansen, EMEA MBS Partner Lead, shared with us his view on the current economic situation and how Microsoft plans to help international organizations and partners through the challenging times. Jan Sillemann, Director of Product Management for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, revealed the roadmap and some of the upcoming features for Microsoft Dynamics AX, CRM and NAV. The sessions were followed with great attention by the entire audience, and brought concrete answers to how we can improve efficiency in international ERP implementation projects. Stig Seiling Christensen introduced the audience to the Microsoft Dynamics Rapid Implementation Methodology tool, and Thomas Handlir and Christian Fehlinger presented the benefits of using Process4Biz to optimize ERP projects.
We look forward to be seeing you at the 10th Partner Power World Conference in Istanbul, Turkey spring 2010.
